Artificial Intelligence Lesson 2 of 8
Day 1: Find Your Concept and Creative Direction
30:00 7 Days of AI Video Generation
Shape your video idea into a clear brief, define the audience and message, and establish a visual direction before generating assets.
Lesson notes
Strong AI-assisted videos start with creative decisions, not a long prompt. Decide what the video is about, who should care, where they will watch it, and what single takeaway you want them to remember. These choices guide every prompt and help you decide which generated results fit.
What you'll learn
- Write a simple creative brief for a short video
- Choose an audience, goal, tone, and aspect ratio
- Build a small visual reference board to guide the project
Build a one-page creative brief
Record the working title, intended audience, video goal, main takeaway, target platform, approximate length, and tone. Keep the brief short enough to use as a reference while generating and editing.
Choose a consistent visual direction
Collect a few references for colour, lighting, framing, setting, and mood. Describe the visual style in plain language so that you can reuse the same direction across scenes.
Practice exercise
Draft your creative brief
Complete a brief for your course project with an audience, one-sentence message, tone, target platform, video length, and visual references.
Hint: A brief is a decision-making guide, not a detailed production document. Make each choice specific enough to guide the next lesson.
