Artificial Intelligence Lesson 3 of 8
Day 2: Write the Script and Storyboard
35:00 7 Days of AI Video Generation
Turn your creative brief into a concise script and a sequence of visual scenes that can be generated and edited.
Lesson notes
A script and storyboard provide a stable plan before you generate footage. Use one idea per scene, keep the language concise, and plan visuals that communicate the message even when a viewer watches without sound.
What you'll learn
- Structure a short video with a hook, main idea, and ending
- Break the script into scenes with a clear visual purpose
- Create a storyboard that guides image and video prompts
Write for the runtime
Read your script aloud and time it. A short video has limited room: cut repeated ideas, use direct language, and make every line help the viewer understand or feel something.
Plan each scene
For every scene, note its purpose, the visible subject, the action, the setting, the camera framing, and any narration or on-screen text. This turns an abstract concept into practical generation tasks.
Practice exercise
Storyboard five scenes
Draft a hook, three main scenes, and an ending for your video. For each scene, write what viewers see and what they should understand.
Hint: Give each scene one main action or idea; a crowded prompt is harder to generate and edit consistently.
